Free Canadian Rainwater Harvesting & Certification Training Webinar - Series 1, Module 5 - Rainwater Harvesting for Irrigation

Rainwater Harvesting for IRRIGATION

This module covers irrigation system requirements as one of the most suitable uses for harvested rainwater:

  1. Irrigation demand use types and End Use Tiers (CSA B805-18)
  2. Risk Mitigation and End Use Tiers (CSA B805-18)
  3. Irrigation volume source data
  4. Catchment potential based on climate data, Cistern and system sizing calculations, Natural precipitation on irrigated areas
  5. Irrigation system components: Pumps, filters, backflow prevention Controls, valves and switches o Pressure and flow calculations, Drought and additional use scenarios.

  5. After you are registered an email will be sent to you.
  6. Follow the link in the email to get your seat in the webinar class room. 
  7. All BSD webinars take place in Atlantic Standard Time.

Following each of the Free webinars being presented by BSD, you will receive an email from CANARM with instructions on how you can view each webinar as a recording a second time for free. You will have free access to each of the free webinars for up to 72 hours following the live webinar. This will be especially helpful for the long 3 hour webinar and will allow you to watch the webinar in two parts if you prefer rather than the full three hours at one time. During the 72 hour viewing, the webinars are recorded, not live, so there is no live moderator or ability for Q&A.

Please note: All webinars are only available from CANARM in English at this time. BSD is working on preparing voice/slide translations which will be circulated when completed.

Bathurst Sustainable Development(BSD) is pleased to offer to the public our first series of Free Rainwater Harvesting Modules and your opportunity to start to become certified as a rainwater harvesting system installer or just to learn more about rainwater harvesting! The modules have been created as stand-alone webinar format videos, available online!

The webinars are being conducted for BSD by the Canadian Association for Rainwater Management (Not for Profit Association) who have been providing Rainwater Harvesting Certification Training across Canada Since 2012.

These first five modules will be of interest to the general public, RWH practitioners, decision-makers, Municipalities, homeowners, businesses, industry, developers, and educators. For those with the goal of Certification as a rainwater harvesting installer, these first five modules qualify as Part 1 of the total modules required for the certification. Additional modules are available from CANARM. CANARM membership and an exam are required for final certification.
